The role of a Partnerships Manager
* Drive new business by building relationships with event organisers and industry professionals.
* Prepare and deliver tailored pitches
* Prepare and present bespoke commercial proposals including negotiation
* Managing the full sales cycle from discovery to proposal and negotiation.
* Oversee account management for mid-market partners.
* Identify opportunities for growth within the current customer base. Manage the sales process for upsells to support continued revenue growth
* Ensure successful event execution through setup support, data analysis, and best practice guidance.
* Act as the key liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless delivery, continuous improvement, and accurate CRM and documentation updates.
Skills & Qualifications – Partnerships Manager
* Sales process - experience of managing the full end-to-end sales process, including:
* Deep technical discovery to unearth specific set up requirements
* Preparation and delivery of tailored pitches
* Managing technical follow up and problem solving
* Preparing and presenting bespoke commercial proposals
* Relationship-led - can build and maintain relationships at varying levels within an organisation
* Sector knowledge or passion - an expert in event fundraising (or a willingness to rapidly upskill), confidently able to disseminate best-practice and advice to partners
* Proactive - able to identify areas for new growth and possible improvement and capable of developing action plans to execute. Able to own and drive tasks through to completion/ resolution
* Commercial awareness - ability to see bigger picture, impact and potential of partnerships, identifying opportunities for both short and long term
* Organised - capable of independently managing multiple client accounts, responding promptly to queries, escalating where necessary
* Cross-team collaboration - ability to build and manage relationships internally to ensure that key partner deliverables are actioned and delivered on time
* Effective communicator - internally and externally
* Data led - capable of analysing data sets to identify trends and good news stories to play back to partners and to use in sales collateral
