N-able is seeking a Security Engineer who emphasizes a risk-based approach to information security. The security engineer will collaborate closely with various teams to develop secure and robust systems supporting N-able and our partners. This is a hybrid role based in our Edinburgh or Dundee hub.
What You'll Do
1. Create automation to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot security infrastructure software and hardware
2. Develop best practices and security standards for the organization
3. Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
4. Monitor external data sources to stay current on cybersecurity defense conditions, determine possible effects, and align responses with organizational priorities
5. Seek efficiencies through automation and orchestration solutions, reduce manual work, and enhance the organization's responsiveness to emerging threats
6. Work closely with various teams, including application security, enterprise IT, engineering, incident response, and vulnerability management, to develop well-rounded solutions that align with the organization's strategy and threat landscape
What You'll Bring
1. Solid experience in information security or a related role, with IT security technologies, such as SIEM systems (Splunk), IDS/IPS, antivirus, and firewalls
2. Track record of using AWS, Azure cloud services, and CSPM solutions
3. Considerable in-depth experience with building automation to reduce repetitive processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
4. Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, or CCSP are desired
5. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
