Active Care Group’s Care in the Home division continues to go from strength to strength ensuring we provide a safe, reliable and outcome-based care to all clients by our exceptional support workers, clinicians, and management team.

We are looking to recruit experienced, highly motivated, and proactive Support Workers with an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a full clean driving licence to work in Wrexham, Mold, Flint and surrounding areas of North Wales.
You will be required to attend our company training which will include staying away from home for 5 days, we will cover the cost of travel and accommodation, breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Meet our clients:
We are supporting 3 male clients in their own homes aged between 35 and 60 years of age all have spinal injuries but may also have additional needs such as Tractotomy, Peg Feeding and / or Mental Health needs.
You would be supporting with day-to-day care along with encouraging our clients to enjoy social activities of their choice such as meting friends at the pub, watching movies and visiting family.
What you'll be working:
1. 12-hour shifts
2. Days - 8am until 8pm
3. Nights - 8pm until 8am
What you'll be doing:
4. Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights
5. Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems
6. Liaise with and support the family as required
7. Assist the client to ensure an adequate level of hygiene is maintained
8. Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
9. Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
10. Maintain accurate and confidential records
11. Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client
12. Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate
What you'll have:
13. NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
14. A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible
15. Experience of dealing with clients with challenging behaviours
16. Previous experience of working with individuals with a spinal injury is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
18. Willingness to learn and develop
19. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
