The Opportunity: Due to continued business growth, we are currently recruiting a Survey Operations Manager to join our Manchester department on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Department and based out of our Manchester office, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to work on a variety of high profile projects within the expeditious Geospatial industry, utilising their strong surveying and project management experience. What will I be doing in my new role? Taking overall responsibility for the operations of the Manchester department. Ensuring efficient scheduling of staff and equipment on projects Collaborating with the Head of Department, Managing Director and the Finance department to ensure projects are monitored and delivered to budgets. Providing a superior service to clients including quotations and the delivery of key data and tender submissions Quality assurance of work undertaken within the department Promoting and ensuring Health & Safety compliance across the department Involvement in departmental recruitment including the facilitation of training Site/Survey activities as required for project delivery Communicating effectively with other departments regarding technical procedures and workflows. Requirements of the role: Ability to work out of our Manchester office A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Surveyor in their field (proving competency) Degree in surveying (or related field), Master’s degree beneficial Health, Safety and Environmental Training – SPA, RAMS, lone working etc CSCS Card Relevant Management Training Valid UK manual drivers licence Ability to travel nationwide when required What key attributes do I need? Ability to work on your own initiative and to develop new applications and projects, as well as working within an existing team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal An ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads and achieve critical deadlines A flexible, positive attitude towards work and be a team player Enthusiastic and structured approach to planning with good problem-solving abilities Proven commercial awareness and ability to create business cases for innovations and improved workflows and efficiencies.
