Team Leader - Residential Childcare - Hereford

Our client is seeking motivated, resilient, and caring people who are driven by making a difference to work in a 2 bedded dual-registered homes near Leominster near Hereford.
The homes are safe, warm, and welcoming spaces for vulnerable children and young people. Children can learn, grow, and develop in an environment that has their best interests at heart.
As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can thrive, ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding, maximizing the life chances of Looked After Children.
What you'll do:
Lead and Support the Care Team:
Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care and support.
Ensure staff adhere to care plans, policies, and procedures, creating a positive and safe environment for children.Promote the Well being of Children:
Ensure the emotional, social, and physical well being of children by providing tailored support.
Work closely with children to build positive relationships, encouraging independence and personal development.Safeguarding:
Take a lead role in safeguarding, ensuring all children are protected and that concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and regulations.Care Planning and Administration:
Oversee the implementation of individual care plans and contribute to reviews, ensuring each child's needs are met.
Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, including health and risk assessments.Operational Support:
Work with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home, including rota planning, budgeting, and maintaining the home environment.
Assist with staff recruitment, training, and development.Crisis Management:
Provide guidance and support during challenging situations, responding to behavioral incidents and ensuring de-escalation techniques are applied.Working Times:
Standard shifts are 9:30 am to 11:00 pm with a sleep-in the following day from 7:00 am to 9:30 am.

Have Previous Experience in a Similar Role Within a Children's Residential Home.
Have Experience Working with Children or Young People who have emotional behavioural difficulties and complex needs
Possess Strong Team Management and Leadership Experience, with the Ability to Inspire and Motivate Others.
Have Excellent Communication Skills and the Ability to Build Relationships with Children, Staff, and External Agencies.
Demonstrate a Good Understanding of Ofsted Regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Have Knowledge of Safeguarding Principles and Legislation.
Hold NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
Are Willing to Work Towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management if not already Qualified.
Possess Empathy, Resilience, and a Genuine Passion for Improving the Lives of Children.
Are Able to Work Flexibly, Including Shift Work, to Meet the Needs of the Home.
Possess a full UK driving licence.
