We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our Creative Arts Faculty on a one year fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across all ages, at both GCSE and A level. A high proportion of pupils learn one or more instruments, and there is a wide range of instrumental and choral activity in this highly successful and flourishing department. Music technology and notation software is embedded throughout curricular and co-curricular learning.
Students enjoy working in a purpose-built suite of rooms with two fully equipped classrooms, practice rooms, Recital Room, a recording studio, Mac Tech Suite and a superb new 400-seat performance venue for concerts. The department has 12 upright pianos and 2 grand pianos including a Steinway B, harpsichord, timpani, drum kits, orchestral instruments, a large variety of electronic equipment and a comprehensive library of music.
The post would be equally suitable for someone seeking a first appointment or an experienced teacher. A willingness to contribute to the School’s wide range of co-curricular activities is expected.
