This classification level is responsible for assisting the courts and probation division in managing the deployment of software applications, assessing and implementing data application enhancements at district offices. Responsibilities related to project management, which may include developing structure recommendations for software applications; assessing impact to data and analyzing system processes, technology and user needs; developing implementation requirements and planning for application modification; acting as liaison between development staff, analysts, management, and end users; testing application enhancing; and documenting technology requirements. Additionally, this role involves overseeing infrastructure components related to software deployments, such as network configurations and hardware setups, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards. Responsibilities also include managing the integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure, and ensuring that all systems are reliable, scalable, and secure. Job Duties Coordinates applications, systems, and database upgrades or changes; deploys and implements applications modules and processes; tests and analyzes new implementations; and ensures the efficiency and security of applications, systems, and database. Identifies or consults with end-users regarding business goals and user needs; analyzes applications, systems, and database to identify areas of improvement or sources of errors; provides recommendations to improve system efficiency and security; assist in developing modification implementation strategies and plans; collaborates with the project team to develop and implement work plans, including assigning work and tracking project progress Monitors the performance of infrastructure systems, including networks, servers, and databases, and conducts quality assurance for assigned infrastructure projects. Prepares, maintains, updates, and reviews a variety of technical records and reports. Presents to and trains end-users on application changes. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Positions assigned to IT Applications Analyst may be responsible for: Serves on departmental and/or other technology committees. Provides training and develops instructional materials to assist users with systems, software, and hardware usage. Assists in developing and managing project plans. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area; 3 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.
