Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane is looking for a Pastry Sous Chef to join the Pavyllon team.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to showcase their creativity and leadership skills in a luxury hotel setting. Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, the Pastry Sous Chef will assist in overseeing the pastry section, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and efficiency.
What you will do:
* Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in leading the pastry team to deliver high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
* Maintain the highest culinary standards and ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
* Train, mentor, and develop junior pastry chefs, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
* Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control, ensuring efficiency while maintaining quality.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
What you bring:
* Previous experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or Pastry Junior Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for developing talent.
* Expertise in classic and contemporary pastry techniques,.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
* Creativity and a keen eye for detail to ensure impeccable presentation.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
