Patient Care Delivery Manage a group of assigned patients, recognising situations that may be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of the neonate and to take appropriate action. Plan, assess, implement and evaluate nursing care for neonates. Co-ordinate patient care and start planning for discharge from admission by liaising with multi-disciplinary team and neonatal outreach. Provide information and support for families, liaising with relevant support services as appropriate. Ensures there is a high standard of documentation which is accurate, legible and meets all legal requirements. Able to set up, use and maintain all equipment used on patients within the ward and attend training as necessary. Recognise and assess emergencies occurring in neonates, children and young people and take appropriate action. Able to administer intravenous therapy safely.
