The Opportunity - Project Engineer (Electrical):
In this role, you will be essential to the successful delivery of MEICA elements for various wastewater projects, working with esteemed clients like Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent Water. You will manage projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet client expectations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Project Engineer (Electrical):
Collaborate with the Pre-Construction Team to prepare and submit tenders, ensuring they align with client scope documents.
Work with the Design Team to obtain quotes from suppliers and assist in placing subcontracts and material orders.
Provide technical expertise in interpreting drawings and vetting subcontractors for quality and installation.
Support the wider Project Team in developing project programmes and contribute to regular planning sessions.
Maintain quality assurance records in line with company procedures, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
Review subcontractor designs for buildability, operation, and maintenance according to industry standards.
Attend site progress meetings, produce reports, and coordinate MEICA works to support design progress.
Inspect equipment at factories and on-site, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs).
Liaise with Quantity Surveyors regarding specification changes and their financial implications.
Provide technical assistance to the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor, especially in contractual disputes.
Supervise site staff during critical activities and support site commissioning as needed.
Ensure timely provision of as-built and close-out documentation for your discipline. Competency Requirements - Project Engineer (Electrical):

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to supervise site staff and knowledge of project engineering/management techniques in water and sewage treatment. Technical/Professional Expertise and Qualifications - Project Engineer (Electrical):
A Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualification (Diploma/Degree preferred).
Experience in a contractor-based background within the water industry, particularly in sewage and water treatment works.
Familiarity with NEC4 contract conditions and budget control is desirable. What Our Client Offers in Return - Project Engineer (Electrical):
