Job Summary: Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning efforts of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) in Mission Critical. You�ll play a key role in overseeing HVAC, electrical systems, and process water systems, ensuring integration, testing, and system handover meet both project specifications and deadlines. This role requires leadership experience, strong problem-solving skills, and expertise in managing commissioning teams and coordinating with stakeholders. Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience or relevant Trade/Vocational qualification. Typically, 7 years total experience. Extensive experience in commissioning management for data centers or similarly complex environments, with a proven track record of delivering HVAC and electrical system commissioning successfully. A proactive and safety-conscious approach, ensuring all commissioning activities comply with health and safety standards and project-specific requirements. Proven leadership experience, managing commissioning teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams. A background in BMS and EPMS systems, with hands-on experience in functional testing, system integration, and performance validation. An effective understanding of control system communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus), and electrical systems, including facilitating troubleshooting of network and system configurations under tight deadlines. Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation, such as P&IDs, control schematics, and commissioning plans. Able to review and comprehend design documents (control drawings, points list, and testing documentation). Duties and Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities: Oversee commissioning activities for the full range of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for data centers, with a primary focus on HVAC, process water systems, and electrical infrastructure. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific commissioning protocols, conducting audits and inspections as necessary. Manage and coordinate commissioning teams, including both in-house engineers and third-party contractors, ensuring all commissioning tasks align with project plans, specifications, and commissioning protocols. Lead and provide oversight during all phases of the commissioning process, ensuring that testing, integration, and handover of BMS and EPMS systems meet both technical specifications and project timelines. Facilitate the troubleshooting of issues between SCADA, and others systems not exclusive to Switchgear, DCUs, IEDs, HMIs, Metering, Switches, and Relays. Act as the point of contact between the project team, contractors, client representatives, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth communication, issue resolution, and successful system delivery. Review and approve commissioning documentation, including test scripts, functional tests, and system validation reports, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and in line with project requirements. Monitor and report commissioning progress, preparing detailed reports that track milestones, highlight risks, and provide solutions to potential bottlenecks or delays. Liaise with design and project teams to ensure commissioning activities are integrated seamlessly into the overall project lifecycle and that any potential risks or changes are managed effectively. Ensure commissioning schedules are met by closely coordinating resources, addressing any unforeseen issues swiftly, and maintaining clear lines of communication with all parties involved. Conduct training and handover sessions for client operational teams, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage and maintain the BMS and EPMS systems post-project completion. Conduct factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs), with the ability to assess and verify system functionality in accordance with project requirements. Manage and delegate assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget. Understands and anticipates customer needs. Accurately estimates the duration and difficulty of tasks. Ensures the team adheres to a realistic schedule and budget. Ability to identify and manage risks. Report results to project management team, supervisor, and company management team. Supervisory Responsibilities: Where applicable, directs and oversees junior or subordinate staff members regarding construction, operations, and/or maintenance tasks and assignments at a project site. Mentor and develop junior engineers involved in commissioning activities, providing technical guidance and encouraging a knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
