HOSPICE PHYSICIAN
Jefferson Health at Home by BAYADA Hospice is seeking to fill the position of part time Hospice Physician for our Horsham, PA Hospice office. This office provides best-in-class care to our hospice clients throughout Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. This is a Part-Time position (about 10 hours weekly). Must have a valid PA License or be able to obtain one.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence, and reliability.
* Licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy without restriction in Pennsylvania and able to provide proof of current licensure.
* Extensive knowledge of the ethical and professional standards of the medical profession; applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, including those related to the health and safety of patients; Hospice's policies and procedures; and the rules and regulations applicable to Hospice, including accreditation and certification requirements.
* Maintains valid registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and any applicable state agency without limitation on the authority to prescribe drugs under such registration. Must provide current proof of such registration upon request.
* Maintains unrestricted medical staff membership and clinical admitting privileges at any of Hospice’s inpatient facilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Demonstrate and communicate the beliefs and values of Jefferson Health at Home by BAYADA Hospice and The BAYADA Way.
* Oversee the palliation and management of terminal illness, comorbidities, and associated symptoms.
* Perform administrative services appropriate to the position of Associate Medical Director of a hospice, including:
1. Participate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) to coordinate all aspects of hospice care, including participation in initial and ongoing IDG comprehensive assessments.
2. Certify and recertify client eligibility for hospice care.
3. Ensure that the hospice Plans of Care (POC) are medically appropriate and consistent with federal and state laws and regulations in accordance with applicable Medicare hospice regulations.
