Job Description
Our very busy Murrayfield Day Nursery is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join the management team as a Quality and Development Manager. This role involves supporting the Head Of Room and Team within a room, and working alongside the Management Team to ensure best practice throughout your room and with the other Quality and Development Managers for the Nursery. Ideal candidates would be someone in a similar role, or if you are a manager or deputy manager looking for a more hands-on role focused on quality and ensuring best practice, together with supporting the training needs within the room. This position requires working a 38 hour week covering 5 days with generous benefits and a salary of approximately £30k.
The Murrayfield Nursery is part of CC Nurseries and is based in Edinburgh. At our busy 90-place nursery, we offer a home-from-home environment, led by our passionate and caring team. Our nursery is filled with hand-picked resources (natural where possible) to encourage self-directed play and discovery. Outside, we have a large, secure outdoor space including a fire pit, fish pond, and outdoor classroom, as well as a separate area for the youngest children to enjoy fun.
CC Nurseries offers enriched working environments and opportunities for further qualifications and career progression.

As a Nursery Quality and Development Manager, you will:
1. Support all teams within the Nursery, working alongside the Manager.

4. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
5. Support the Room Leader in leading their teams and in supporting their training needs to ensure best practice.
6. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the Curriculum Excellence are followed.
7. Hold a qualified level 3 / SCQF 7 or above, with around 4 years of experience working in a Nursery and at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
Benefits
