Overview
We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to support an exciting project to develop next generation Marine Defence Software for our Marine Clients. This project will allow the successful candidate to be involved through the full Software Development Cycle, from Requirements gathering through to formal compliance testing of the developed product.
Responsibilities
* Requirements Analysis, Definition and System Design.
* Developing Code for FPGA embedded CPU cores utilizing Microblaze.
* Verification and Validation of the Hardware, Software and System Requirements.
* Production of Design Documentation to support design gates and releases.
* Client Collaboration - Integration with the client to ensure the product meets the client's expectations.
Qualifications
* Appropriate degree (Engineering, Electronics or Computer Science).
Essential skills
* Experience in the Full Development Lifecycle from Requirements through to Verification and Validation.
* Experience Developing Code for FPGA embedded CPU cores utilizing Microblaze.
* Experience of working with Bare Metal Systems.
* Experience with developing in VHDL.
* Experience of Component and Integration Testing.
Desired skills
* Domain experience (Marine Industry).
* Experience with high-speed memory interfaces.
* Experience interfacing and working with hardware designers.
* Experience using schematics and block diagrams.
