Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with expertise in Passive Fire Protection. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all projects related to fire protection projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and legal regulations. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of passive fire protection techniques and products, excellent project management skills, and experience in managing multiple contracts simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Coordination: Manage the scheduling, execution, and completion of passive fire protection works within budget and time constraints.
2. Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding contract performance, resolving disputes, and maintaining positive relationships.
3. Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all passive fire protection works meet regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements (e.g., fire regulations, BS 9999, or local fire codes).
4. Cost Control: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring costs are kept within agreed limits and providing regular financial reports to senior management.
5. Team Leadership: Manage and support project teams, ensuring efficient workflow, resolving operational issues, and promoting a collaborative working environment.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in contracts and take appropriate actions to mitigate these risks.
7. Supply Chain Management: Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring their work complies with project standards and timelines.
8. Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, financial performance, and contract milestones.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in contract management within the construction or passive fire protection industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of passive fire protection products, techniques, and relevant building regulations.
3. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
5. Strong understanding of risk management and cost control.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Proficiency in contract management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar).
8. Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
9. Certification in Passive Fire Protection (FIRAS, IFC, or similar) is preferred but not essential.
