Service Architect Location : Basingstoke/Bracknell The Opportunity : For over 50 years, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has partnered with this Firm to drive value and innovation across its strategic technology investments. As a Bid Service Architect, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting Agile Service Management programmes for complex national security, intelligence, and military operations. The Role : • Crafting Persuasive Proposals: Develop compelling Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) responses that align with client needs, compliance requirements, and budget constraints. • Designing Tailored Solutions: Create customised service support solutions and oversee seamless service transition management, ensuring successful ITSM implementations post-bid. • Leading Service Transitions: Manage end-to-end service transitions within Government Ministerial Departments, delivering Agile Catalogued Service Plans and crafting innovative ITSM policies, processes, and documentation that provide clarity and structure to service designs. • Enhancing ITIL & ILS Processes: Guide the development of ITIL V3 and Logistics Supply Support (ILS) processes, ensuring they adhere to industry best practices. • Driving Process Integration: Promote cross-functional process development within a Service Integration and Management (SIAM) framework, fostering a more integrated and effective service delivery model. Essential Requirements : • Security Clearance: Sole British National with SC or DV (Developed Vetting) clearance. • Bid Management: Proven experience in preparing PQQs and ITT responses, focusing on compliance, service design, and cost modelling. • Service Design Leadership: Strong track record in designing complex, high-value service solutions and operating models for major IT systems. • Service Transition Demonstrated success in managing service transition and ITSM implementations post-bid. • Defence Sector Experience: Extensive background as a Service Architect for Defence or Government Departments, designing and implementing tailored support models. • ITIL & ILS Proficiency: Proven experience developing and implementing ITIL V3 and Logistics Supply Support (ILS) processes in line with best practices.
