As an Application Technology Support III team member in the Engineering Platforms & Experience team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.
Job Responsibilities:
* Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm.
* Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability.
* Assists in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and addresses issues utilizing standard observability tools.
* Identifies issues for escalation and communication, providing solutions to the business and technology stakeholders.
* Analyzes complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure.
* Collaborates with development and operation teams to ensure smooth software releases and deployments.
* Monitors system performance and identifies areas to improve in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
* Implements and maintains monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution to ensure proper configuration management and version control practices.
* Participates in incident response and resolution, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Hands-on experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services.
* Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud.
* Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
* Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
* Expertise in a development language such as Java or Python or scripting languages such as JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell.
* Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, etc.
* Experience with micro-services, Unix, and Linux.
* Experience in Agile Methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, Test Driven Development, etc.).
* Experience in a DevOps or support role, working with CI/CD tools and infrastructure automation.
* Hands-on knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
* Participates in weekend on-call support, on a rotation basis.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
* Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
* Experience in data mining and querying against databases.
* Experience and comfort working in a high-paced dynamic environment.
