Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical support to the Bespoke design process.
2. Capture the proposed design in the form of a sketch, 2D drawing or render, along with a technical description.
3. Quickly attain a good knowledge of our existing product portfolio, understanding how these products are manufactured and the parameters around which we can make customer specific alternatives.
4. Initially work alongside the Lead Designer, and eventually independently, to develop knowledge of what we can profitably & repeatably manufacture to a high quality.
5. Support the Bespoke team and wider product development team with 3D models and product renders to be used in presentations, quotations, and marketing materials.
6. Advise on the buying in costs, MOQ's and lead times of special components where appropriate to support accurate quotations at the enquiry stage.
7. Develop relationships with key suppliers and keep abreast of relevant technical developments within our own factory & across the wider industry.
Requirements:
1. Manufacturing Industry experience, ideally 3+ years.
2. Experience working with wood and sheet metal will be beneficial.
3. Product rendering experience, ideally using Keyshot or 3D Studio Max software.
4. Proficient use of AutoCAD & SolidWorks (or SolidEdge).
5. Understanding of modern manufacturing techniques & materials and how they can be incorporated into effective product solutions.
