THE ROLE
This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in growing the commercial property practice at Sumer Law, working with a diverse range of SME clients to provide tailored, commercially focused legal advice. You will handle a variety of property matters, from lease negotiations and property transactions to secured lending, while contributing to the development and expansion of the business through collaborative and innovative approaches.
Key responsibilities:
* Drafting and negotiating commercial leases.
* Managing acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.
* Handling secured lending and property finance transactions.
* Assisting with the property elements of corporate transactions.
* Providing practical and tailored legal solutions that align with clients’ commercial objectives.
* Collaborating closely with accountancy partners within the Sumer Group to deliver a high-quality, integrated client service.
* Supporting the development of the department alongside Sumer’s Head of Legal.
ABOUT YOU
Skills and experience:
* A qualified and experienced commercial property solicitor with a proven track record.
* Expertise in managing commercial lease negotiations, property acquisitions, and financing transactions.
* Proven ability to build and nurture strong client relationships, identify opportunities for cross-selling services, and attract new clients to expand the commercial property portfolio.
* Experience working with SME clients, providing consultative and commercially aware advice.
* Experience in analysing market trends and identifying emerging opportunities in the commercial property sector to position the business for growth.
* Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills for a variety of property-related legal documents.
