A rare and exciting opportunity has come up to work for the growing facilities maintenance company in an iconic skyscraper located in Canary Wharf. My client is looking for one key Electrical Shift Engineer to complete their professional maintenance team, ensuring they continue to deliver an excellent service. You will be working a Continental Shift Pattern.
The suitable candidate will have extensive commercial maintenance experience, including emergency lighting, hot and cold systems, fire alarm checks, FCUs, AHUs, UPS, BMS, and riser experience. Particular knowledge of FCUs, water treatment, and HVAC is needed, and previous experience in a corporate client-facing environment would be beneficial as this is a very corporate site. Qualifications required for this role include City and Guilds Level 2 and 3 Electrical Installations, HVAP, and 17th/18th Edition.
Duties
1. To ensure all teams' PPM and repairs are carried out as necessary.
2. To ensure all reactive tasks are completed in a timely manner.
3. Required to safely operate and maintain the HVAC, HV, L8, Mechanical and Electrical systems and associated equipment on site.
4. Assist with the day-to-day operation including subcontractors where required.
5. Responsible for first line review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
6. Making sure team meetings are being held daily to ensure PPM completion.
7. Ensuring all logbooks are being kept up to date.
8. Provide technical support to the customer on all M&E aspects.
Requirements
1. 18th Edition Wiring (Essential).
2. Inspection and Testing 2391 (Desirable).
3. City & Guilds BS 7671 or equivalent.
4. IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable).
5. HVAP qualification (Desirable).
6. Electrically qualified.
7. City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3.
8. A proven track record in Building Maintenance.
9. Good Communication Skills.
10. Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.
11. Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV, etc.
12. Good Leadership & Management skills.
