Salary: 12.37 - 13.49 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role

The school provides a bespoke education for up to 80 pupils aged 5-19 with ASC/SEMH needs. The curriculum is designed to be creative and personalised, ensuring each pupil has the best opportunities to succeed. Our newly redeveloped building offers a nurturing environment with exceptional facilities to support a diverse and engaging curriculum.
The Role
We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their learning and overall well-being, ensuring they reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, including 1:1 assistance and small group work (3-4 pupils).
* Assist with positive behaviour management and individual learning plans.
* Foster a warm and supportive relationship with pupils to enhance their confidence and independence.
* Support the delivery of a high-quality, differentiated curriculum.
* Occasionally assist with care needs and school activities, including off-site trips.
* Adapt to the varying needs of pupils and contribute flexibly to the school environment.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
* Experience working with SEN pupils in a professional or voluntary setting.
* GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above (essential).
* A recognised Level 2 qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning (desirable).
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* A positive, adaptable, and creative approach to supporting individual pupil needs.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a car is desirable, as well as a willingness to drive school vehicles for off-site activities.
