Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, you will lead Analytics, BI/Reporting, drive insights, and champion a self-serve analytics approach. Delivering actionable Insight to help stakeholders make informed business decisions.
Collaborating with leaders in data engineering, data governance, data science, and AI, you will be instrumental in reshaping our analytics landscape. This role presents a unique chance to influence cultural change, foster collaboration, and lead the growth of a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities;
* Own the strategy for Analytics and Insight, manage priorities and ensure timely delivery of projects.
* Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, ensuring high productivity and quality delivery.
* Utilise expertise in the Microsoft stack (Azure, Synapse) and Power BI to lead the development and enhancement of insightful and impactful analytics solutions.
* Gather requirements, build/design a scope, lead meetings with stakeholders, test, implement, document, workshop.
* Deliver comprehensive reporting solutions for key functions including Finance, Sales, Marketing and HR. Review, consolidate, and enhance existing dashboards.
* Work closely with the wider Data team to ensure changes are implemented in line with business requirements, ensuring data governance, quality and modelling is implemented.
* Build and nurture strong stakeholder relationships to establish trust and ensure effective communication regarding Insights and recommendations.
* Take ownership of defining and documenting metrics to provide clarity and alignment across the organisation.
* Collaborate with other to work towards the vision of a lakehouse architecture and self-serve analytics
* Take ownership to support the BI Platform / Infrastructure, including overseeing troubleshooting, detailed investigations and clear communication to stakeholders.
Technical/Requirements of the role;
* Strong background and leadership experience in Analytics, Insight and BI teams.
* Proven experience with the Microsoft stack and Power BI is essential.
* Strong SQL skills is a must, and Python is desirable.
* Strong people management skills, including leading a team of analysts.
* Demonstrated expertise in delivering reporting solutions, particularly for Finance and Marketing functions.
* Excellent stakeholder management abilities to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
* Previous experience in a digital transformation environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to work collaboratively with data engineering and data governance teams.
* Proficiency in prioritising tasks, managing work pipelines, and meeting deadlines.
* Familiarity with Databricks medallion architecture is highly desirable.
