Bristow Holland is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior IT Support Engineer to join an exciting IT infrastructure team based in Bury St Edmunds. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of server management, networking, and general IT support. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career in systems administration and IT support. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software. Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Provide general IT support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues. Monitor system performance and security, and assist with troubleshooting. Help maintain and update IT documentation and procedures. Participate in the deployment of new IT projects and systems. Work collaboratively with this IT team to support ongoing operations and improvements. Requirements: Strong Office 365 skills Experience with Active Directory Cloud experience either Azure or AWS Basic understanding of server operating systems and server hardware. Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Relevant education or certification (e.g., CompTIA A, CompTIA Network, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals) is a plus. Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of systems administration.
