The postholder will: Be an autonomous practitioner, responsible for assessing and prioritizing obstetric cases, in line with BSOTS guidance. Identifying abnormalities, and escalating concerns to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) as required for timely care. Conduct telephone triage assessment and make appropriate referrals across services, maintaining accurate and detailed clinical documentation to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care. Initially assess women on attendance to triage, offer guidance and reassurance to patients and families, effectively communicating medical information and addressing any questions or anxieties. Manage ongoing care, carry out investigations and make plans accordingly. Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance triage services and patient outcomes. Make an effective contribution to reaching the Trusts vision, strategic objectives and key work programmes. Undertake shift work including nights and weekends.
