Job: Transport Administrator
Contract: Temporary, providing maternity cover from January 2025
Location: Environmental Hub, Middlewich
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 06.00 – 14.00
Salary: Grade 4 - £24,790 - £25,183 per annum FTE + Enhanced rate for Saturdays

Join our team in the rewarding role of Transport Administrator, providing vital support to the ‘FlexiLink’ and ‘go-too’ demand-responsive bus services. As the Administrator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of both services by:
• Making sure that the operational system is monitored at all times during service hours and liaising with drivers and passengers to respond to enquiries in a timely manner to ensure a positive passenger experience.
• Dealing with phone calls, emails and messages from passengers looking to book, change or cancel transport and providing general advice.
• Enter bookings onto the ‘CATSS’ booking system, confirm bookings via phone or email, answer queries and keep passengers updated on any changes as needed.
• Preparing driver running sheets for ‘FlexiLink’ services and liaising with drivers on any route changes. You’ll also add driver shifts and legal breaks to the operational system, keeping updated with road closures/changes that affect routing and bookings. Updating any timing changes on the systems to ensure accuracy of information is also a key task.
• Ensuring the accuracy of drivers’ rotas regarding their availability and break times, carefully checking the schedules for next day and any unallocated journeys.
• Checking ‘FlexiLink’ application forms received via email or post for eligibility and entering passenger details into bespoke systems, ensuring all relevant information is provided e.g. wheelchair details in readiness for assessment.
• Collecting, monitoring and analysing data to inform service decisions and evaluating customer feedback, to ensure excellence in customer service. Producing weekly and monthly reports for the Manager regarding passenger usage and statistics will also be one of your tasks.
• Counting cash from fares handed in from drivers, ensuring all monies are recorded and passed to the manager for banking. You’ll also undertake general administrative duties as required to support a range of projects, colleagues and delivery of the team plan.
