We are looking for a Supplier Quality Technician who ensures the highest quality of parts and components sourced from suppliers. This role involves inspecting, testing, and verifying supplier deliveries, monitoring performance for compliance with company standards and industry regulations. The Technician also works closely with suppliers to address quality issues and facilitate continuous improvements in processes and parts quality. The Role: Inspect and verify incoming materials from suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality specifications. Evaluate non-conforming product and process through the Reject system. Evaluate new product and complete ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) process. Evaluate and approve new/existing suppliers through supplier audits. Provide information to supplier/sub-contractor, buyer, and QA department regarding nonconforming materials/products. Provide support to Production by eliminating rejects from stock identified by QA or shop floor personnel. Ensure all rectification/rework of materials is carried out and meets agreed standards. Review stock presentation and packing both in stores and on lines. Carry out material testing as identified in relevant WMP's. Implement all relevant processes and procedures within the QMS. Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally, in relation to Quality matters. Prepare Supplier Recovery Costs. Communicate quality concerns and expectations clearly to suppliers and provide guidance to resolve issues. Work with the supply chain team to ensure timely and quality deliveries from suppliers. Conduct regular follow-ups on supplier performance, working together to resolve ongoing quality issues. Communicate with all departments to eliminate defects at the source. Provide feedback to update Quality documentation and carry forward lessons learned. Assist in tracking supplier quality metrics and preparing reports on supplier performance, defects, and root cause analysis. Monitor trends and take proactive steps to minimize recurring quality issues from suppliers. Support audits, reviews, and documentation related to quality systems. The Requirements: Minimum of 5 GCSE's grade C and above OR An apprenticeship qualification. Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control, supplier quality, or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Ability to conduct root cause analysis and use problem-solving techniques (e.g., 3C, 8D, 5Why, FMEA).
