AHP Lead Clinical Placement Facilitator
Band 7
Job overview
This new post offers the opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for allied health professions practice-based education to work closely with the Chief AHP, AHP Workforce and Education Lead and Senior Nurse for Workforce Development and Education to provide the drive and support for the expansion of AHP pre-registration clinical placements across all UHNM allied health professions.
Current HCPC registration as an AHP is a prerequisite for all applicants.
This post will support the provision of quality AHP pre-registration clinical placements using traditional and newer innovative methods of practice-based education. This action is required to ensure we meet the needs of our workforce of the future across all AHP groups of staff.
Main duties of the job
* To provide leadership and be a single and first point of contact for existing and new UHNM service/profession-based Placement Education Facilitators.
* This leadership role will support development and maintenance of a corporate Trust wide standard and culture of working with HEIs and students- our future team members.
* To lead on the coordination of AHP practice-based education. This will be achieved by collaborating with teams across the Trust to deliver expanded quality practice-based education on a standardised basis across all professional groups of AHP staff.
* To ensure that UHNM receives full and appropriate remuneration from clinical placement tariff for its activity in delivery of AHP practice-based education. This will maximise the available income for UHNM AHPs from the clinical placement tariff across all AHP professions at UHNM by validating payments received compared to income expected.
* Collect accurate data and ensure that a centralised AHP placement directory is established and maintained across all UHNM AHP placements.
