St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Learning and Development Coordinator to join our Education and Learning team. This is a new role which will work closely with our Retail and Volunteering teams to develop and deliver learning approaches to support our retail workforce, volunteer managers, and all volunteers. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum. The role can be based in Taunton, Yeovil, or Walford Cross with travel required to all sites – flexibility can be discussed. Education and Learning are a small team who are passionate about learning and committed to building and delivering an innovative, high quality learning offer. What can you expect to be doing? This critical role will take the lead in delivering a comprehensive learning and development offer for our staff in retail, our volunteers, and our staff who manage and supervise volunteers. The role will involve: Undertaking learning assessments to support retail staff, line managers, and the learning needs of volunteers. Designing and delivering blended learning solutions to identified needs. Using digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programmes as well maintaining current Learning Management Systems. Developing programmes to meet business needs, bringing creativity and innovation to learning. Ensuring compliance through effective mandatory and statutory training. Continuously assessing the content, quality, delivery method and relevance of learning and development across retail and volunteering. Coordinating with and supporting staff to deliver learning programmes, through learning hubs and key mentors. What can you expect to be good at? You will be: Experienced in planning and delivering training for retail staff and volunteers from all disciplines. A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects, with a positive approach that inspires learners to engage. Empathetic when managing expectations, personable, and articulate, with excellent communication skills. Able to keep stakeholders informed and involved in decisions and outcomes.
