SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a business based in Newark on a full-time temporary basis, for around 9 months. Our client is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger candidate to join the busy finance department to carry out the following tasks:
1. Purchase ledger postings - purchase invoices; purchase ledger payments
2. Nominal ledger postings and payments including intercompany transactions
3. Supplier statements reconciliation to purchase ledger
4. Working closely with other team members including other departments
5. Dealing with any invoice queries or discrepancies
6. General finance administration to support the wider department
7. Inputting data and converting it into spreadsheets
You must be able to work to tight deadlines, have the ability to work under pressure, and be methodical with your approach.
This opportunity would be most suited to a candidate keen for a step into a busy, fast-paced accounts department within a great organisation. Essential skills include:
1. Strong MS Excel experience
2. Excellent attention to detail
3. Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
4. Strong communication skills
5. GCSE C and above including English and Maths (or equivalent)
6. Proven accounts experience within a similar environment illustrating working knowledge of purchase ledger and finance administration
The business is based in easy commuting distance from Mansfield, Southwell, Colwick, Newark, and most other locations across the north or east of Nottingham.
