Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the company's SHEQ efforts, guiding the business in meeting its obligations under the Health & Safety Act 1974.
* Collaborate with senior management to define the strategic direction of SHEQ priorities and ensure alignment with company goals.
* Assist with the interpretation and implementation of SHEQ-related legislation and company standards.
* Provide expertise on QA systems and processes within manufacturing, pilot, and laboratory environments.
* Take responsibility for the certification and safety of end-of-waste materials.
* Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance the overall SHEQ performance and culture.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven track record in SHEQ management within the manufacturing sector.
* Good working knowledge of COSHH legislation, with exposure to chemical and manufacturing industries.
* Strong leadership abilities to oversee and improve the SHEQ function in a manufacturing, pilot, and laboratory setting.
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Full UK driving license required for occasional travel between sites.
