We are currently recruiting for atemporary Senior Accountanton an ongoingtemporary basisfor our client inBlandfordon a full or part time basis. We are initially looking for someone until the end of January 2024, but this could potentially lead to a permanent role.
The successful candidate will preferably be AAT/ACCA qualified, or ACCA/ACA part-qualified and can work to deadlines. Candidates qualified by experience will be considered.
Key Accountant Responsibilities will include:
* Completing accounts from incomplete records to high quality trial balance stage within budgets.
* Resolving issues arising on book-keeping systems via a strong understanding of double-entry book-keeping.
* Advising clients on best practice of book-keeping and use of emerging systems/tools.
* Implementation of new cloud-based book-keeping systems for clients including advice and use of both best practice, and new tools available (and continuing to monitor the landscape as it continues to develop).
* Have experience of Xero, TaxCalc, VT and Excel - and have a good knowledge of emerging book-keeping technology/MTD, and other generic cloud-based book-keeping systems.
* To prepare year end accounts for sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies.
* Completion of draft Corporation Tax returns, and tax/capital allowance computations.
* Completion of self assessment tax returns.
* Ability to clearly communicate in person, over the telephone and via email.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines
* Xero, VT, TaxCalc experience is useful but not essential.
Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday - Thursday 9am - 2pm Fridays
Salary is £35K pro rata
