Antipodes are seeking a Graduate level hire with a passion for financial markets and investing to join the Antipodes group within the QMAT (Quant & Macro, Alt-Data, and Trading) team as a junior trader/investment analyst. Relevant industry experience is desirable but not essential. The role will be London based.
Strong academics in degrees relating to Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Science, Physics, are necessary.

Responsibilities:
Trading:
* Working within the Trading team, you will be responsible for trade admin, transacting in global markets across a range of investment securities including equities, FX, and derivatives. Your primary focus will be on European and US markets but you will develop an understanding of global markets.
* Responding to queries and liaise with the investment operations team.
* Working closely with the trading and investment teams on execution strategy, best execution, and process improvement.
* Engaging with trading counterparties in managing order flow, best execution and overall relationship management.
* Communicating portfolio and market colour, including market behaviours, price action, and alternative views, to the broader investment team.
Investment Process Enhancement: Using your Excel and coding knowledge, you will maintain and upgrade the existing Excel based toolkit to cater for the changing business needs within the Trading team.
Quant and Macro: Working within the Quant and Macro team, you will be involved in the analysis of quantitative data sets and macro data to assist the team form their macro views.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with portfolio managers, investment analysts, and operations team to achieve investment process related objectives.
Skills required:
* Excel knowledge which covers VBA and Power Query (essential)
* SQL (essential), R (essential) and Python (desirable)
* Strong and confident communicator (essential)
* Market data platform experience, ie. Bloomberg/Factset (desirable)
