We are looking for a Home from Home Coordinator with experience of selecting, handling, and rehoming dogs in a working environment to lead our Home from Home foster scheme.
Our Home from Home scheme provides care in the homes of volunteers for dogs that are struggling in our Rehoming Centres and will benefit from short-term foster care.
About this job:
As Home from Home Coordinator, you’ll:
* Recruit, manage, and support a small team of volunteer foster carers.
* Check on a dog’s progress, carrying out keep-in-touch phone calls and home visits.
* Transport dogs to start fostering placement, for veterinary appointments, and to meet potential adopters.
* Communicate with Centre staff and other departments regarding marketing and rehoming.
About you:
You'll be a confident communicator (written and verbal), able to deal with sensitive and challenging situations in an appropriate manner ensuring the best outcome for our dogs and volunteers. We’re looking for someone with a positive and proactive attitude, with experience of handling and rehoming dogs in a working environment. Administrative skills, including use of MS Office and computerised systems, as well as organisational and time management skills.
What you need to know:
A full, clean, manual driving licence is essential, as driving will be a part of the role.
