An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to join our Housing Partnership Delivery Team to oversee a range of housing grants and related service delivery. The aim of the team is to bring transformation and funding opportunities together and use local knowledge and information to design services to meet the needs of some of our most vulnerable citizens.
The Housing Partnership Delivery Team manage a range of Welsh Government Grants including the Housing Support Grant, Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) Grant, Period Dignity Grant and the Children and Communities Grant.
This post is subject to grant funding and will be reviewed on an annual basis.
About the job
The successful applicant will lead and manage a team to oversee the delivery of housing-related support services in both supported housing schemes and in the community, provided by Third Sector organisations and the Council. The post-holder is responsible for ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of relevant grant funding streams through regular contract management arrangements with all providers. This will involve close partnership working and integration with Health, Adults and Children’s Social Care Services and the Third Sector.
The successful applicant will be responsible for budget monitoring and submission of quarterly and annual claims and reports. The post holder will also assist in the wider range of operational planning, development and implementation of key work programmes that support the strategic direction for addressing homelessness and housing need in the city.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have experience of multi-agency working and the ability to deliver change effectively. The role will involve working with internal and external partners to ensure the project is delivered successfully, therefore excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, experience of contract management activity would be an advantage. You will have experience of managing significant budgets and resources as well as managing a staff team, providing coaching and support and developing workplans.
Experience and knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and related policies and protocols would be an advantage. The successful applicant will need to have experience of working with new technology and have excellent digital skills. You will need to work well within a team and be able to work on your own initiative.
