Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Package
We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Property Services Contractor in Sevenoaks, working on a long-term social housing decarbonisation refurbishment project. This role offers excellent job security and progression prospects as part of a 20-year framework.
This vacancy has arisen due to an internal promotion, highlighting the company's commitment to career development. The successful Quantity Surveyor will initially be responsible for managing £6m worth of work annually, ensuring the financial and contractual aspects of the project are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the commercial and financial management of social housing decarbonisation refurbishments
2. Managing cost control, budgeting, and forecasting for projects
3. Preparing valuations, tenders, and final accounts
4. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
5. Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members
6. Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in social housing or property services sectors
2. Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills
3. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
4. Experience managing multiple projects and working to deadlines
5. Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification preferred
6. Ability to work well within a team and independently
