BRAND NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR SOMEONE WITH AN APTITUDE FOR INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT, KEEN TO EXPAND THEIR SKILLS IN STORAGE, BACKUP AND SAN SUPPORT
1. Onsite in Barrow in Furness
2. Initial 6-month contract
3. Flexible day rate inside IR35
4. Will also join an on-call rota
5. SC Clearance is essential to complete the role
WHAT WILL THE STORAGE & BACKUP ADMINISTRATOR BE DOING?
We are recruiting for a client who are looking to onboard someone to perform day to day Storage & Backup Administration. The role will also provide opportunities to assist with project and transition work as required. The successful applicant will be expected to investigate storage problems on EMC storage with Brocade or Cisco SAN Switches, as well as ensuring successful backups are taken. Other responsibilities include:
6. BAU support of the SAN environment
7. Storage allocation/deallocation
8. SAN switch zoning
9. Maintaining documentation and producing management reports
10. Problem management/resolution using SNOW
WE NEED THE STORAGE & BACKUP ADMINISTRATOR TO HAVE
11. HP and EMC Storage experience
12. Experience with Brocade and Cisco SAN Switches
13. Storage Management software skills
14. Familiarity with SAN Switch Management commands (Brocade, and Cisco)
15. A methodical approach to problem determination is crucial.
16. Active SC is essential
