This is an exciting fixed-term secondment opportunity within the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Integrated Care Board (ICB) for a Band 8c Head of Social and Economic Development to work with the Director of Policy, Involvement and Stakeholder Affairs to lead an exciting and innovative portfolio that has the potential to make a huge difference to the communities that we serve.

Main duties of the job
As one of only three Health and Growth Accelerator sites in the county, NENC ICB is leading the development of a £20M government-funded programme to tackle health-related barriers to accessing and sustaining employment. As part of this role, the postholder will support the development of a work and health strategy and partnership in the North East and North Cumbria, working with our delivery partners in DWP, and local and combined authorities, to deliver the outcomes set out in our Health and Growth Accelerator programme.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Masters Degree or equivalent professional qualification / experience
* Demonstrable Evidence of continuing professional development/management development.
Experience
* Senior management experience of commissioning a breadth of services within social care, health of another relevant sector
* Experience of successfully managing commissioning budgets and negotiating service agreements.
* Experience and knowledge of public, patient and service user involvement to influence service development.
* Substantial experience of working across organisational boundaries and professional disciplines ideally within an integrated model
* Substantial experience of developing innovative and cost effective strategies, plans and programmes.
* Substantial experience of motivating senior teams and monitoring progress towards identified goals.
