Your Role as an SEMH Teaching Assistant As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: Support students with SEMH needs, providing personalised attention to help them regulate emotions and engage with learning. Build trusting relationships to encourage positive behaviour and provide stability for students. Assist in implementing tailored education, health, and care (EHC) plans. Help students develop social skills and confidence in a supportive environment. Work closely with teachers to deliver a curriculum that integrates academic, social, and emotional learning. Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm, professional manner. Support students in extracurricular and enrichment activities that promote personal growth.
