External Job Posting Date October 21, 2024 Job Post Deadline Date November 6, 2024 Salary 37645.40 Year City of Job Vacancy Lincoln District 3A Job Description This classification level is responsible for assessing in monitoring, coordinating activities associated with supervision of low-risk offenders; assist in the preparation of investigative reports; preparing alleged probation violations; coordinating and administering offender assessments; arranging and conducting alcohol and drug testing on offenders; initiating and monitoring treatment referrals as well as payment of fines, restitution, and community service. Assignment of this position within a district is at the Probation Administrator’s discretion and contingent upon the unique needs of the district. Job Duties Meets, interviews, and confers with probationers through home visits and office meetings; monitors and documents progress. Explain terms of probation to individuals and make appropriate referrals consistent with court order. Assists in monitoring offenders through electronic/GPS monitoring under direction of a Probation Officer to ensure compliance with court regulations. Assists in preparing, updating, and submitting a variety of reports and/or databases including progress updates, court appearance paperwork, home-visit logs, and location reports. Requirements/ Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in criminal justice, medical/laboratory, or a related area. Or, one year of experience as a drug technician or related position. Consideration will be given to candidates receiving their degree within 120 days of application. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education. Incumbents may be subject to travel.
