Overview
Due to a new contract win we are looking for Transport Team Leaders to join our team in Hams Hall. As the Team Manager you will be responsible for the day to day transport operation and lead a team of clerical colleagues, drivers and shunters.
Shifts – 12-hour shifts on a 4 week rota (including days and nights)
£ Comp + Night premium (4 Weekly Pay)
How will you contribute?
1. Managing drivers, along with absence, safety concerns and hour management
2. Investigations and disciplinaries
3. Team Training
4. Answering phones and dealing with internal and external enquiries
5. Accident investigations
6. Addressing safety concerns
7. Business updates
8. Running reports relating to compliance, turnaround, compliance etc.
9. Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of colleagues
10. Raising and checking defects
What will you bring?
11. Demonstrable experience in transport/logistics
12. Proven leadership to deliver a safety-first culture
13. Previous experience of high-volume transport operations and/or planning.
14. Previous experience/knowledge of Transport Management systems required
15. Customer focused
16. Strong communication skills both within the company and external customers
