Order Fulfilment Business Manager (12 Month Contract)

The opportunity: We are seeking to recruit a pro-active Order Fulfilment - Business Manager (X-mas) who can successfully deliver the annual budgeted sales target for "x-mas", working with a small talented and energetic team of 2 processing orders through an online portal. The order fulfilment is done via a nationwide subcontractor network. In addition to overseeing capacity planning and order fulfilment, you will also be involved in regular sub-contractor reviews including price and service level discussions post X-mas season.
Location & Hours: The role is offered on an initial fixed term of 12 months, full-time basis (40 hours), based out of our HQ in Henham (CM22 6AA), enjoying a rural location, where lunch is provided onsite daily and ample parking. We offer hybrid working 1 day working from home per week when possible.
Key deliverables:
* Lead a small team ensuring customer focus and order fulfilment
* Source and manage existing & new sub-contractors
* Provide quotes for bespoke orders via our sub-contractors
* Manage online portal for order fulfilment incl. order allocation to subcontractors
* Run daily sales tracker and put measures in place to maintain on target
* Carefully plan capacity for individual subcontractors and keep track of capacity limit during order allocation
* OOH phone coverage over delivery and collection period (limited time)
Requirements:
We welcome applications from candidates with supply chain / order fulfilment / logistics and inventory management experience (internally and externally) - Order Fulfilment Manager, Sales Order Manager, Customer Sales Order Manager.
* Proven experience of managing third party suppliers, order fulfilment demonstrating outstanding customer service
* Strong excel skills along with related technology
* Ability to work under pressure with calmness, along with proven ability to meet deadlines and work with strict timescales
* Excellent problem-solving skills and completer finisher skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and adept at speaking to a range of audiences
* Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to change as required
* Ability to prioritize workload and maintain a high level of attention to detail
* Ability to quickly build rapport and effectively maintain long-term relationships
* Excellent commercial awareness to support sales achievement
* Outstanding team management with a key focus on teamwork
