The role would ideally suit an applicant currently working at Band 5 level with previous NHS rotational and musculoskeletal experience. The role is in musculoskeletal outpatients as part of our JMAPS (Joint Musculoskeletal and Pain Service) team in Northumberland. Clients will be referred by primary care, self-referral or from consultants. There will be some post-operative patients. Staff may be required at different clinical sites across the Trust. CPD is actively encouraged within our teams and training is supervised by Senior Physiotherapy clinicians supporting staff to achieve their individual learning outcomes supported by a robust appraisal system. Main duties of the job To assess and treat an independent physiotherapy caseload. To work as part of the physiotherapy team under the supervision of senior physiotherapy staff. To assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for an individual clinical caseload. To liaise with senior staff on a regular basis to ensure appropriate management of patients. With guidance from senior physiotherapists, maintain a high level of evidence-based practice through continual review of current research, thus enhancing standards of patient care.
