Assistant Director of Property Services Organisation: Yorkshire Local Authority - Public Sector Job Type: Initial 6-month contract Day Rate: Negotiable - Inside IR35 Start Date: Week commencing 6th January Reed are supporting a South Yorkshire Council in their recruitment to an Interim Assistant Director of Property Services. This newly established role will drive key outcomes, implementing key recommendations from a recent Corporate Property Review. In this role you will be designated as the Council’s Chief Property Officer and will lead continuous transformational improvements in the property service function. Day-to-day of the role: Develop and lead a team of professionals responsible for property management, asset optimisation, and strategic planning. Working with the Director of Regeneration and Development, ensure the successful implementation of the Council's Corporate Property Review. Provide strategic leadership on property issues, ensuring plans are implemented to agreed timescales. Manage the service aspects of outsourced property services, ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes. Lead on the strategic direction of the City Council’s property assets via the corporate asset management plan. Provide strategic property advice for the Council’s corporate estate and manage the Council’s commercial property portfolio to maximise income and capital receipts. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in strategic leadership and management within public sector property services. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop coherent property strategies. Experience in managing outsourced property services and ensuring delivery of outcomes. Knowledge of estate management and commercial property portfolio management.
