Within JCDecaux UK, the role of Systems Engineer (SE) provides the company with 3rd line technical resource delivering infrastructure solutions to both the IT department and any area of the business that uses technology. The role sits within the Infrastructure team, part of the Service Delivery function, and reports to the Head of Service Delivery (HSD).
The role also aims to support more junior members of the Service Delivery function to ensure services are delivered in an appropriate way and is one of the two technical escalation points for the Service Desk Team Leader (SDTL).

Capabilities
Technical
Design, setup, manage, use and understanding of the following technologies:
* Hypervisors and hypervisor management environments (HyperV, VMware, Citrix, OpenStack, etc.)
* Operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
* Networks and associated services (switches, firewalls, routers, DNS, DHCP, proxies, etc.)
* Storage services (disk arrays, storage controllers (ISCSI/FC), storage protocols (ISCSI, NFS, SAMBA, Object), tiering (disk, SSD, NVE))
* Backup / Disaster Recovery (Locations and tiering (disk, tape, cloud), live server mirroring)
* Physical servers (vendor agnostic)
* Scripting (Perl, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
* Directory services and authentication (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos)
* Application deployment and release management
* Database deployment and configuration (MSSQL, MYSQL, etc.)
* Encryption and Public Key Infrastructure management
* Containerisation of services (Docker, etc.)
* Helpdesk systems (JitBit, Zendesk, etc.)

* Ability to listen, adapt and make suggestions

* Languages: Fluency in English, French desirable
* Highly motivated and service oriented
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills (written and oral)
* Excellent analysis, testing and troubleshooting skills
Qualifications
* Educated in a Business, IT or engineering related field or strong breadth and depth of relevant industry experience in 3rd line technical support
* CCNA or equivalent
* MCSA/MCSE or equivalent
* MHCA/MHCSA/MHCE or equivalent
