An integral part of the HR function, our Internal Communications team acts as the central hub for all colleague communications ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging communication across the Marshalls group. This isn't just another Internal communications role; it's an opportunity to make a real impact. You'll be the heart of connecting our colleagues across the UK, developing and executing innovative communication plans that bring our strategy and brand to life. You'll develop and execute creative campaigns that not only inform but also inspire and engage our colleagues, ensuring they are connected to our mission and values. You'll craft captivating stories, from company-wide announcements to exciting and insightful colleague spotlights. You'll also be a trusted advisor to leaders and teams across the business, providing strategic guidance and ensuring our messaging is always clear and consistent.
As a digital expert, you won't just be keeping up with the latest trends - you'll be setting them! You will explore uncharted territories in digital communication, implementing cutting-edge tools and techniques to ignite colleague engagement and keep everyone in the loop. Think dynamic content, immersive experiences, and a chance to make a real impact. You’ll also be a data-driven champion, tracking the impact of your work, analysing key metrics, and using those insights to continuously improve our internal communication strategies.
We’re a small, yet mighty team and when things get busier than usual, we share the workload across the team, lending a hand wherever needed to ensure the smooth delivery of communications across the business. There’s lots to do and several exciting projects to get involved with.
You'll have the opportunity to visit our sites across the UK to build stakeholder relationships, support company events and get a real understanding of what we do. This could involve visiting one of our quarries or a state-of-the-art Manufacturing site - but don't worry; a hard hat and safety boots will be provided! Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.
What you’ll bring:
* Previous experience of successfully developing and implementing internal communication strategies and campaigns within a similar-sized organisation
* Curiosity to explore the latest communication trends and technologies. Have a creative spark and love finding new ways to engage audiences with compelling content
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
* A meticulous eye for detail, ensuring all your work is of the highest quality, free from errors and polished to perfection
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a solid understanding of digital communication channels like intranets, social media platforms, and content management systems
* Expertise and passion for data analysis and can use insights to drive strategic decisions
* The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and consistently meet deadlines, all while staying within budget
* Experience using various CMS platforms to publish and manage engaging digital content
* Experience in effectively managing external agencies and vendors to achieve our communication objectives

* Have experience with design and video editing software
