The Opportunity
KPMG’s Strategy & Performance Transformation practice is looking for exceptional Associate Director candidates, with a focus on Consumer Goods, Retail and Leisure and experience in at least one of our core propositions; Growth Strategy, Cost and Operational Strategy, and Enterprise-wide Transformation. The team works closely with c-suite and senior executives to identify and execute transformation opportunities that add and protect value for shareholders, employees, and society.
Responsibilities
To be an effective Associate Director within our Strategy & Performance Transformation team, applicants will be expected to:
* Build deep client relationships and be seen as the go-to person and a trusted advisor by senior executives
* Support the identification, pursuit, and conversion of a pipeline of business development opportunities
* Lead the design of complex engagements and take responsibility for leading day-to-day delivery
* Undertake scoping and fee negotiation on standard engagements
* Work collaboratively across other service lines within KPMG to ensure we are delivering maximum value for our clients
* Understand risk and ensure that the Firms risk management frameworks are adhered to at all times
* Inspire, motivate, coach and develop project team members and appraisees
* Identify, design and lead critical and complex practice development initiatives
Your Experience
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following:
Work Experience:
* Proven experience working in a leading strategy house, Big 4 firm or strategy/development team in industry
* Detailed understanding of the value drivers within Consumer Goods, Retail and Leisure businesses
* Track record of leading complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams
* Experience of managing or supporting high-value business development activities with senior stakeholders
* Demonstrable ability to build and commercialise relationships with senior executives
Technical skills:
* Sales and business development skills
* Strong problem-solving & analytical capabilities
* Ability to evaluate complex challenges and deliver insightful recommendations
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
