Job Details
1. Shift Pattern: 1 shift per week (7 hours), may include weekends and annual leave cover.
2. Weekend Enhancement: An additional £2.00 per hour paid from 7am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
3. Transport: Due to rural location and limited public transport, personal transport is required.
About the Role
Are you passionate about providing appetising, varied, and well-presented meals? We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team, responsible for delivering a healthy and nutritionally balanced menu that meets specific dietary requirements in our residential care home.
You will manage an efficient kitchen operation within an agreed budget, supervise staff assisting with food preparation, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety to comply with health and safety regulations.
There are opportunities to be creative by catering for functions and special events, celebrating various occasions throughout the year.
Requirements
* Experience in a kitchen environment.
* Recognised catering qualification (e.g., Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate and HACCP accreditation, or Level 4 Food Hygiene Certificate / willingness to work towards).
* Flexibility to work within rostered hours.
