Description
UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a part-time (16hr) Kitchen Attendant/Cook who will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation of meals with special attention to special diet needs
2. Prepare, set, and clean dining room at each meal serving and serve meals to residents
3. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
4. Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
5. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
6. Demonstrate quality customer service while interacting with residents including respectful communication
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training in food service industry
3. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills
6. Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
7. English language is required
