My name's Keir Brisbane and I am the Service Manager for the Youth Service in Norfolk and Waveney. In our service, we support young people (aged 14-25 years) who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. We have creative and skilled staff who provide the support that is needed - and they are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families, and carers. I'm excited to recruit a new Community Team Manager in our North Norfolk Youth Team. This is a vital role which provides direction and support to our practitioners, with opportunities to creatively think about how to improve our work.
We're looking for an individual who can lead and inspire others - within a context of change, and sometimes challenge. As an employer, I and Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust are particularly committed to enabling our staff to do the very best they can through support, supervision, and training, as well as opportunities for progression. We are confident, therefore, that the right candidate will have a real chance to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in North Norfolk.
Main duties of the job
When you join us, you'll be working alongside the Service Manager, Principal Clinical Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist and Community Team Manager colleagues across the service, and will manage a team who provides mental health and psychologically informed services for children and young people in our communities. This is an exciting time of transformation of mental health services in our region; creating opportunities to recognise and consolidate what services are doing well, whilst driving creativity to radically change service delivery. We're looking for a clinically-informed leader who can help drive positive changes. You'll be compassionate, approachable and person-centred whilst supporting with the day-to-day delivery of our specialist service; providing supervision to staff, giving structure and direction to how the service functions, and giving attention to the quality of our support to young people.
