Wondering what a typical week with P4A looks like?
Well, the truth is, there isn’t one. Each one of our service users are different and their support goals are personalised to them. Adaptability is at the core of who we are as a service, respecting that each client is an individual is the key to success! Now, there may be some reoccurring themes such as support with daily household tasks like preparing meals, keeping their home tidy, shopping or supporting with medication and accessing the community. But along with our clients, our ambitions aim to be far beyond that allowing them to grow.
We are currently recruiting for our teams based in Northampton, mainly in the Ecton Brook and central Northampton areas. The majority of the support will focus on a small number of individuals with a variety of interests and support needs. For some clients, hitting the gym and exercise is a big part of their day, while others may focus on accessing the local community for leisure activities like trampolining, swimming, and meals out.
The options are almost endless, and we are looking for individuals with a drive to make a difference and seek new opportunities for our service users to make the most out of their support and strive to reach their individual goals.
What do I need to make a real difference?
A proactive attitude and positive outlook on support will take you most of the way! There are some essential criteria for this role such as having a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance. Experience with Autism and learning disabilities is essential, and an understanding of different communication resources and methods would be an advantage.
Our training programs incorporate full support using a mixture of in-person and online training with options to explore further with NVQs in health and social care at various levels.
All of our team will need to go through a number of pre-employment checks including comprehensive work history, criminal records, and barring lists.
Needing a role that can work around your current commitments?
We strive to strike the right balance between the needs of the service and those delivering it, with your availability and commitments considered every step of the way. Our day teams work on a four-week cycle, with static rest days in the week and alternative weekends off, meaning you can plan ahead. Full-time roles are available at 37.5 hours with options available from 16 hours, with overtime typically available.
As part of the core support team, you can boost your income by £7800 a year by picking up regular sleeps in too.
